Hi there!
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to everyone. I've been lurking here for a few months, and just started recently posting a couple weeks ago. I always try to "feel" out a new community before I make introductions to make sure I'm going to enjoy the forums. And I must say I'm amazed with this community. For the first time ever, It seems I've found people whose mind works a lot like mine http://forums.intpcentral.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I've known about MBTI for several years but never took it very seriously till a x-boss gave everyone in the office a copy of "Please Understand Me" By Keirsy. There where 6 of us at the time, all 6 had different types, and after reading each other's types, everyone agreed that we where all dead on. And yes, I'm an INTP (100%, 90%, 93%, 80%).
Little bit about me....I Install Home Theatre Systems and Satellite Systems and I live in Ohio. I'm 30 years old, divorced and have three children not living with me (12, 10 and 7). My most common hobbies include computer games, reading (anything and literally everything I can get hold of), thinking, guitar, people watching, and experimenting with people’s reactions. To expand on that last one...One of my more favorite "hobbies" is getting reactions out of people. I'll say something, usually bizarre, with the sole purpose of seeing the reaction. For instance, when I was younger (My late teems) I would walk up to everyone...people I knew and complete strangers and ask, "You don't like me do you?" More recently, I've been trying to work this line into conversations to see how many people catch it..."Yes, I love acting and one day hope to be so famous that my acting wins me a Pulitzer Prize". You'd be amazed at the number of people who simply don't catch that shit. I love the shock affect from people...One last example...sometimes I'll be in a restroom, and going pee...if there's someone in a stall or something, I'll pretend I don't see them and as soon as I start peeing "OWWWW!!! OH MY GOD YOU BITCH!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THIS TO ME!!! OWWWW!!!" Reactions are just so much fun. http://forums.intpcentral.com/images/smilies/smile.gifEspecially when shock is involved. (Note that I don’t typically do this in places where I actually know the people).
I've been on the Internet since 1994. I started out using AOL 1.0 (back when it came on a single 3.5 floppy disk). Ever since them I've been addicted.
Anyway....what can I say...I'm weird. I'm different than most. I'm of the belief however, that I might have found the one place on the Internet where everyone is just as different as I am. http://forums.intpcentral.com/images/smilies/smile.gifLooking forward to many discussions with you all!
