Hey everyone. I found this board after taking the personality type test and looking up some info about my type. Some of my hobbies are working on my car, reading, writing, and webdesign. I am 17 years old and next year I'll be attending college here in northeast Florida. That's pretty much it. If you want to know anything, just ask. Here's a picture of myself:

I forgot to mention my name.. I'm Rachel.

I'll beat Zedo to it and ask you if you have all your teeth?

And what type of car do you have?

Hello and welcome :hello:

Cool self portrait! I guess it is about time I posted mine.

I guess that is your red BMW in the background picture eh.

BMW's tend to be mechanically sound, so how much work do you end up doing?

Actually that isn't my BMW in the background. I have at least 50 car posters all over my walls, and that is one of them. I need to find a pic of my car and I'll post it.

BMWs are mechanically sound, but just like any car, they wear with age. My headliner is falling, and some things need replacing, but it is just basic maintennance. I have done the following (with some help from my dad):
replaced oxygen sensor
replaced spark plugs
replaced belts
oil changes (many times of course)
replaced brake pads
installed alarm/keyless entry system
fixed window coming off track problem

I think that's it. Now I need to find a picture of my car.

Cool, I'm just one of those guys who has no idea why the car occasionally doesnt work and calls for help.

Maybe I just dislike getting covered in oil and hassle!

I drive a Ford Puma (which is kinda fun, but doesnt exist in North America)

Hey, I bought my M3 in Florida. I think there's a glitch in the Matrix.

Ooh, M3, that must be nice. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

The weather here changes constantly. A couple weeks ago it was in the high 70's low 80's, but this week has been around the 40's and 50's. Saturday is supposed to be 70 degrees.

I am a very messy person. For some reason my locker and bag/purse have to be perfectly organized, but I couldn't care less about the organization of my room.

BMW's are excellent machines. If I had a choice of any car in the world for my everday car, it would be the new M5 (I'll see it tonight when I go to the auto show here in D-town). I like your avatar - that was one of my favorite songs when I was five years old. I saw S & G in concert about a year ago and they were great.

Hi.
BMW's are nice. I've got a very old M5 (1981) which i use as an everyday car and a nearly new 320i which my wife drives mostly.
oops this is turning into another car thread, its so easy to get us started on this

Edmond Zedo
21 Jan 2005, 11:01 PM
It's not a car thread, it's a bmw thread. I'd like to put about 50k in go-fast on my M, and also have a 2005 760i. Have you seen the new 7s? My god.

Geoff
21 Jan 2005, 11:08 PM
Unfortunately BMWs here in the UK have become a bit too routine as the 'businessmens' car. Not quite sure what you do to stand out, but they dont have quite the same prestige they may have elsewhere. That's why I cant be 'just another BMW' driver.

There are plenty here too, but not M3s (heh heh heh). I like the way they drive, and that was 3/4 of my motive. 1/4 Style.

Thanks garak for setting the bar.

You're way hot, and I can't take the words "Wango Tango" out of my head when I see your pic. I only feel freer. ms aren't I older than you? :)

wango tango? please explain. yes you are very hot, hot with a capital HOTT *licks finger, presses to nipple and it sizzels*.

now that i have done the requisite immature thing. welcome, you are moderately attractive in a bad light, probably more so in good light, nice choice of car, but i prefer the porsche 4002

Wango Tango is a damn awesome Ted Nugent song. He's searching for a garage in which to park his Maserati.

Thanks for the compliments guys :) In my opinion, age is only a number. What matters is how the personalities of two people get along and the maturity level.

There seem to be a lot of BMW/car people here. Awesome. BMWs are the ultimate driving machine <3 I went to a safety school a while back. It is more fun than safety in my opinion. Here are a couple pics and a review of it. http://ttr.blindeyed.com/safetyschool.htm

i dont really like the BMW's i prefer the rinspeed, and most other sleek and sexy concept cars. but i do like the ac cobra. you are right age IS only a number, and i am 21 much closer to your age than these guys PHHOOOARRR. and also in australia, so if you feel like swimming over you can sleep on my couch....

excuse me, i need to write a rant about the sudden drop of maturity a guy gets whenever he sees a picture of a nice girl. and then www.cumcenter.com here i come

garak

shai gar, I'm 21 too.

And I tried telling the cops age was just a number but they wouldn't stop harassing me.

I believe 16's legal in most states, 17 in more.

garak
22 Jan 2005, 04:59 AM
I've looked it up in the past but I either never found an exact answer for my state, or I forgot. In any case, the whole "high school" thing just seems weird to me.

Shai Gar

16 is legal for heterosexuals
16 is legal for lesbians
16 is legal for bisexuals
18 is legal for homosexual guys

in australia anyway

Edmond Zedo
22 Jan 2005, 05:13 AM
At age 25, I came within an inch of dating an age 18 high school student (She went flaky, not me). She was 17 when we started staring at each other. I really don't care about societal taboos like that, but if it WERE illegal I'd think twice. No one who knew both of us seemed to think there was anything potentially wrong with it.

How does that work? Couldn't the gay guys just say they were bi? It seems odd that the law would care about their "sexual identity" instead of just the genders of the two people involved.

I think they only arrest the "receiver" for being "totally gay."

That car is a peugeot, I guess you dont really get those in the US? Lots here, I've certainly drive enough (I always liked the sports version of the 206 in a firedance red).

Here's a random one http://www.allapprovedcars.com/Used-Peugeot-206-2.0-GTi-Hatchback-3dr-Car-crpId500525630-CarDetails.aspx

That car looks very nice, I believe I've seen pictures of it before. I'd take that car over a guy anyday. Of course, I'm not a big fan of commitment anyway.
