This is really exciting to me. I'm trying it right now, to see for myself. Basically, if you want to try it, you mix CHEAP instant coffee with water. Add more or less water depending on how deep you want the color to be (like water color).
I'm going to post the picture I paint after its dry.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I remember painting with coffee back in art classes as well, but mixed in with mediums. I like how they've done it with just coffee though.
Looking forward to seeing your completed work, which we won't be able to smell (phew, cheap instant coffee doesn't smell too good...)

A girl in one of my art classes painted with coffee. It was... fragrant, but pretty cool. I think that she was using an acrylic medium with it.

I notice that the pictures in the gallery on this site are .gifs set to blanks. I rather like these pictures.
It's screenshot time.

Finally something coffee is useful for(aside from keeping 99% of the free world productive)

This would be great - if I had any painterly dexterity whatsoever.

i didn't have any instant coffee, so I tried to use the normal kind... I boiled it down and strained it, making sure it stayed black. However, it was still too grainy and uneven to paint with. I haven't gone to the market and bought the instant stuff yet.

What a way to spend coffee!!!
I suck at painting and I appreciate too much the coffee in my stomach. Though, being horribly bored today, I might give a try.

Tea comes in handy if you want to make a fake Pirate map. Dipping your map in Tea gives it the nice look of weathered parchment. Additionally you might wanna use a fountain pen to give it that old timey look. When you are finished with the map and the tea, hit a few edges with a lighter, and then Voila, instant treasure map!

I'd hate to paint something that was really well done, only to have it start smelling sour or even at least detectable in my living space.
I'm going to get a quill and some ink, of all the art projects I did and school - pen and ink had to be the most rewarding, mentally and artistically.

The best would be to paint your house with coffee. It might be easier to just hollow out a coffee tree and live in there. Or am I thinking of cocoa? Anyway, if you do it, put on a black bandana with little holes so you look like a raccoon. That's what raccoons do. Live in trees. But I don't think coffee crows on trees. I'm not going to look it up though.

Put it inder glass. And on the wall. Vacuum seal it or whatever.
Calligraphy with coffee would be cool.
Well I have painted a few ceramic items in my time, usualy with rum and black mixed with diamond white.

There are several recipes for natural paint. We used the flour paint to paint our bedroom. The only part I didn't like was having to brush or sponge as it dried to prevent lines from showing.
