Does anyone here read The Sun (http://thesunmagazine.org/) magazine? I rarely respond to -- or even open -- direct mail attempts, but they sent me their pitch, and I must admit I am intrigued.

They bill themselves "as a magazine of ideas" and feature no advertising. Sounds good -- I love ideas, and hate advertising. ;)

I really enjoy reading magazine, but there are very few publications that I actually "jive" with.

I can cancel after the first issue, so I may just sent back the card and subscribe, but first I figured I'd ask my fellow Thinkers what you think of this mag. :)

Utne Reader on presenting The Sun its Alternative Press Award for General Excellence:

"The Sun gently opens the heart, soothes troubled feelings, and probes matters of the spirit with a clear and grounded intelligence...The whole magazine is like an intelligent and compassionate friend who perceptively articulates your innermost thoughts and dreams."

That definitely sounds like something I'd enjoy reading. The layout and photography look great as well. Too bad it's only in hardcopy and pdf, two formats I just can't stand to read.

Nice find though!
