I am tired of the java language itself. Nothing but endless layers of abstractions.

Yes.
And PDFs.
In fact anything that makes my machine as fast as a 286 handling a moon-landing.

Here here, I hate Java. Screw the console, it's of little relevance.

I have no issues with Java...
Javascript != (Java || OOP || Visual Basic)

Javascript != (Java || OOP || Visual Basic)
I don't think that was ever suggested, and anyways, that's logically nonsensical. The right hand side evaluates to a boolean.

Not to mention the Java console had nothing to do with Javascript.. or even that Java has nothing to do with Javascript.
Might I mention that VB has always had it uses.
And that Javascript has some rather interesting OO concepts that can be rather effective if you know how to use them right

If javascript were java, then i'd probably hate it too.

Arg, ok ((Javascript != Java) && (Javascript != OOP) && (Javascript != Visual Basic))
In either case when I read this:
not a fan of OOP and I hate Java even more then Visual Basic. Javascript was always usefull though.
It sounded like the Lime was lumping javascript with Java and Visual basic... it just didn't make sense.
