Well as usual I thought I would search up some crazy mess of words on Google...well I type in Libertarian party of Canada and guess what? It comes out!

http://www.libertarian.ca/index.html

It is actually a valid party...that amazed me since I was on this site (http://www.elections.ca/content.asp?section=pol&document=index&dir=par&lang=e&textonly=false#libert) at least three years ago and it didn't mention them...well it turns out they are pretty new Formed in 2004.....

I just thought that would interest the 10 or so Canadians on the site

Just so you know there is now a Facebook group.....

There is hope! I can go to Canada... if US sucks bigtime into totalitarianism and a Libertarian movement arises in Canada!

An ugly mug on the home page isn't very welcoming, but this is nice to know.

I was just invited to volunteer at their national convention (finally something I can do....) which is to be held in my city (:)). I am going to request more information and then probably help out a bit...I was actually thinking of putting my name on the ballot for my riding if no one else would...of course I would need to find a couple hundred people to support me (but using facebook that won't be too hard)...of course I won't present speeches I will hold the spot while we wait for someone better.....(this will hopefully allow me to earn a nice position on the support staff of the next guy :))

Free markets? Maybe, as those import tariffs are killing me.

I'll read more, but the guy in the chair makes me nervous.

yup. tons of fringe elements in Canadian politics.

my favourite concept was the Marxist-Leninist Party. Made for interesting lawn signs during elections.

with a referendum on a form of proportional government on next week's Ontario Provincial ballot, the smaller parties may have a shot at some voice in the future.
