I have a tendency to waste time... I've found that after doing so, I'm much less stressed out, and more efficient. I believe I wasted 2 hours today, but I was unusually stressed out. I usually waste about one daily. I'm not counting time wasted at school.

I also think the period in my life where I wasted the most time, (basically more time wasted than not) I was in the worst position.

So how much time do you waste? Does it help you be more efficient when you're not wasting time?

I can't decide if I'm doing it because I'm less stressed, in a better mood, more efficient, etc afterwards, or if I'm just lazy. I mean, I know I'm lazy, but is that the only reason?

Ah... time to stop wasting time and do my math homework.

Now, by wasting time, surely you mean doing things other than stuff like browsing the internet or reading books? And the last sentence was just a typo, yes? What you really meant to say, I'm sure, is that you're going to go waste more time by doing math homework.

Wasting time is some of the best time I've ever spent.

So how do you define "waste"?

If you don't, as you put it, waste time, then what do you think the end result would be?

If it relieved your stress, improved your mood and made you more efficient, how do you figure the time you spent achieving that effect was wasted?

Would that be your own opinion, or might it be that of a society that doesn't understand and/or acknowledge your motivation and stress sources?

If you had some problems maintaining your personal economy, and you had the chance to invest money in something that is practically guaranteed to keep said personal economy afloat, even if only barely, would you consider that money wasted?

I look at "wasting time" as a way to recuperate. It gives me the break I need to set me back on track, and occasionally I even learn something from the "wasted" time. But it all has a purpose.
