Could you have named this poem something like "N vs S"? ;p
I can relate to it, no doubt about that.
Perhaps something worth mentioning would be what type of poetry this is? I'm not keen on poetry styles, and this seems more like a hymn.
I wonder what would happen if you cut down on the "filler words" such as "the", "a", "is", etc. (of course, keeping the absolutely necessary words) but you may find an even stronger poem after doing so. :D gj
