I am not brain damaged, so no.
I like to play with it but I have no misapprehensions about its accuracy or usefulness.

Over time, after learning to type people through behavioral study, you may begin to notice physical similarities between people, like certain types might have a certain "look". It's only for shits though, because you can't accurately type someone by their appearance alone.
Like you might notice how quickly someone moves and how engaging they are and you might think they have an E..j temperament, or you might notice something about their look that makes them seem introverted, or you could say that someone looks like an ENTp you know, or whatever. They're all hypotheses until you have some contact with them.
I overheard a conversation, where this really girly girl was talking about her boyfriend. She talked about how he loved to tell her all sorts of things about math and science and different formulas and she said she really doesn't care about them, but she didn't want him to feel sad, so she listened anyway. It took her several minutes to say that, but I could tell by what she said and how she said it and how she really didn't want to hurt his feelings, that she was probably an ESFj and her boyfriend was probably an alpha NT (INTj or ENTp). I don't think I got more than a glance of what she looked like.

I agree, especially because from what I've seen, type has more to do with experiences than genetics. But I've always wondered if there was some way to tell by someone's handwriting.

It works, but not in the way many people traditionally believe it to be in socionics. Although there is no one type appearance, one can identify the functions going through the mind from observing body postures and get a better idea of the dominant processes. Communication happens to be 70% nonverbal for most people so it's safe to say that others can read their body language and thus their mind.
Many people from socionics who use photo typology have a ridiculous rate of mislabeling people in pictures. This causes many people to laugh at socionics's ideas. The thing is that a picture is not the same as the dynamics of our nonverbal gestures so people were bound to make mistakes when typing photos.
