I just wanted to recommend you a U.K. band called Marillion. I ran a search in the forum which yeilded zero results what made me wonder if I'm the only Marillion fan in here.

Yeah, theya belong to the progressive rock genre. They sometimes sound like Genesis (good), especially in their early albums.
In my opinion their best album is Script for a Jester's Tear, then Misplaced Childhood.
