because I make it just to satisfy my need to theorize about things...
electro-acoustic, polymetric, microtonal, very math brain type stuff

I've tried this for a few crowds, and I'm curious to see if the brain type here "gets" it. So, please tolerate the spam... It's actually my third post... Don't emasculate me...
opinions from my fellow "thinkers" greatly appreciated

In general my favorite music is complex stuff like this, but well, not like this. Generally technical extreme metal, like Meshuggah, Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Dillinger Escape Plan. Ever listen to any stuff like that?

a little... i like don cabellero, dillinger, hella, some stuff like that, and i used to like voivod.
it's funny, i'd probably make that kind of stuff if i wanted to deal with other musicians...

I think Meshuggah's drummer might be an INTP. Definitely lots of NT in there, in any case.

Hey, this is crazy in a good way. Interesting story to boot. For some reason a few tracks made me think of Cowboy Bebop...

Ever listen to any King Crimson? I hear some similarities.

I agree, this is really great at times. What equip\software do you use?

thanks for all the opinions! i haven't listened to a lot of crimson.
the equipment is: me, my drummer, pro-tools, some "plug-ins", and a signal generator. I did it very very backwards, hand placing all those sine waves one after another-very barbaric. i play a little sax on the cd, too.
hamro, what "creeps you out?" that's a unique comment. I'm not insulted, just curious when someone has a strong response...

Yup!
I just recently realized that I liked jazz and this seems to follow the same pursuit. I do like the second track too. imagery in my head included: worn-down shady pub, neon lights, shiny brass and dirty aluminum. idk why

I used to hate jazz passively, then I listened to the music from Hellsing and got kinda addicted. Now I like some jazz.

I now find myself listening to the revolt of 1042 again.
The notes, they live!
edit* I also love the early classical Jazz feel in "Into the Woods".

Very enjoyable, strikingly similiar to something I would normally listen to. Keep it up!
edit:
Heh, just read your influences, I thought I was the only one who even knew who Mahavishnu Orchestra (Ponty specifically) and or Weather Report even were. I am very much enjoying your music.

i just got the feeling that a big moster was gonna eat me whenever i listened to it, the music is very dark in my opinion, its hard to explain, the first song was the one creeping me out the most, especially the beginning, which was my favourite part of it although

After listening to Ponty again I can definatly see the influence.
I was stuck at Japanese Language lab the other day and wishing I had music with me, then I remembered. Handy site. :D

Brilliant music. Enhanced all the more by the story behind it. The drumming was astounding. Keep up the good work, my friend. I agree in a way with the "creeps you out" statement, but it's in a good way. More like getting a chill down your spine.

Interesting. I like.
Track 5...I clicked on it because it reminded me of one of my favorite musicals, "Into the Woods." Dissonance, time changes, syncopation...just how I like it.
I'm into music comp. as well. You may have just inspired me to get off my ass and onto my keyboard bench to write.
Gave me a rush.
