Well? I don't really have a preference- Tale of Two Cities was pretty much worthless, but I liked Great Expectations.

 I think Tale of two cities isn't bad, but Great Expectations wasn't much.

Have you read any of his ghost stories? you can find them in The Signalman and Other Ghost Stories (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0862998581/qid=1091682480/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/104-3431244-6229538?v=glance&s=books). Some of the stories are taken from his other published works, though not all.

I do like most of what he has written, no real favorites- though I do read A Christmas Carol every winter.

Well, yes, I really do appreciate Dickens writing style. I did have to read Great Expectations in Jr. High and I still look back on that as one of the better books I've read. I have seen the other works on tv like Bleakhouse, Great Expectations, a Christmas Carol, David Copperfield, A Cricket in Times Square, Pickwick papers, and I have several of the other books on my shelf that I've started to read. I would say Dickens is one of my favorites.

I liked Great Expectations. I want to think there was another one that I read but I can't remember... I just woke up... *yawn*

Nicholas Nickleby is AWESOME. I love it - especially the new movie version!

Great Expectations...saw almost every movie to see if they portrayed it well...not really impressed.
Haven't read anything else from him though.

Ah, ok. I was thinking of Emily Dickenson...I think.

I heard a fly buzz when I died.
And the stillness in the room was
like the stillness in the air before a storm.
something something
the king was in the room
something
