I was just watching the cbs news and it mentions that there have been numerous murders from people answering ads on blank_l_i_s_ t. The babysitters link, the auto parts link and a job search link, so far at least 3 people were murdered when they answered or went to meet someone on the website. Be careful.

After visiting Craigslist enough, this comes as no surprise whatsoever.

Isn't it standard operating procedure to be cautious when meeting random strangers from the internet? Tell people where you're going, meet in a public place, etc., etc?

Then again, I guess if I was going to buy a car part from a guy, I wouldn't demand that he meet me at starbucks...

Also: looks like this is the first murder tied to Craigslist in 12 years, and they've caught the guy, so I'm even less concerned now.
