I have few questions:

Who is definitely going?

How am I supposed to find out what American and Mexican alcoholic drinks are vegetarian?

I tried searching one of the largest beverage companies in Mexico website, it said " Ningún acierto." I am pretty sure my Spanish teacher told me it was a politically correct way of telling my parents how well I was doing in my end of year report.:P

Ask the waitress.. You do know it is not even that uncommon for companies not to be 100% sure what they put in their food and drinks?

If you don't believe me try writing a letter to "Masterfoods" asking them to tell you if what of their chocolate is vegetarian. They should send you back a list of bar codes, and some complicated story about having to read the bar code on the chocolate, if you want to know if it is vegetarian.

This is whot the world at large , wants to know. Unfortunatley it will precipitate a ferrus-like answer that will put you to tears or to sleep.. prolly beginning with the history of the Taters or Tarters or something.

Oh, Bob can't you just be proper for one day for goddsakes, have some fish and chips and a can of beer or something? I do like the idea of the feeding the zang bob tequila, but well, I'm evil. Don't remember who suggested it either, but maybe Mancroft will give you a shot-- a glass.

Funny thing, where are all of the Liverpudlian and Mancunian members, (I'll count red and white roses as one, because that's how I roll).

When I was last in Liverpool ca. 1995, I had to drive a van load of computer equipment from there to Peterborough, we had to GUARD every step of the move because the locals were living up to their stereotype.

I'm not a fan of UK stereotypes since it has my peeps being "thickos", but some of them aren't entirely false when it comes to the unwashed masses.

I was also propositioned at a light while driving said van, trying to find the Insurance company, Liverpool girls aim high?

Liverpool - dey do dat doant dey doe.

djm
8 Jan 2008, 11:11 PM
When I was living in Kensington (Liverpool not London) we used to get people stealing out of the bins in the alley. I was living in a flat above a shop (terraced street) which had to be accessed through the back alley. Someone once stole the handle off gate into the back yard. So after that we had to carry a fork or spoon in our pocket when we went out to turn the latch on the gate. Once whilst stood talking next to the gate, I turned around to retrieve the spoon to find it had been nicked!

Anyway, I agree Scousers are OK and some of the few friends I have are from there. Any large city in any country can be unsafe, it's the luck of the draw. I think in the most unsafe parts of the world you are more aware of the danger and therefore avoid it, in your own back yard you don't always see trouble coming though.

Haha, well it wasn't much better in the 90s either. The shop I lived near was the Old Swan end of Kensington on Prescot Road opposite the Bingo Hall. I also lived in Toxteth, but funnily enough when I got mugged in was in Wavertree which was a better area (well relatively). They escaped with ?4 and a bag of chips, the hospital thought I had broken both cheekbones, but I got away with bruising.
