About 1/4 mile.

It's in a city about 800 miles away.

Since mine is in the middle of the country, I can only get halfway across the country from it.

Time to go abroad?

About 300 miles away.

Maybe not. How far would Point Barrow be? By the way, are you sure you're more than 1000 miles from your high school?

Yeah.

Have you seen pics of the tundra there? Even during the summer it sucks ass.

Why do you ask?

Why do you ask?

Among other things, I'm curious how we compare to the general population.

How does the general population usually fare?

The one I dropped out from is less than 10 miles away, but the one I graduated from, an extraordinarily easy independent study program, is a good 1,800 miles away. Which one should I vote for?

A little over 500, but in about seven months or so I'll move again, and I should be 2000+ miles from the high school.

Are you actually interested in how far you live from the home in which you resided while attending high school? In some rural areas people are bused very long distances and some people take correspondence courses, factors which are not considered in the poll question if it is attempting to gather information on how far people have moved since their late teen years. I, for example, live 37 km from my high school and less than 0.5 km from my parent's home. I can look out the window and see it, in fact.

It's about 2km down the road from where I now live.

My highschool is a boarding school, and at the time that I went there I lived much further away than I do now.

I don't keep track of the distance. I was going to figure it out just now and then I stopped and asked "why?".
It's farther away from me than when I attended.

Not far enough. My high school had a reputation for racial and homophobic violence. There was constant fighting, and the guards wouldn't bother to do much. New York City public schools use mass transit instead of yellow buses, so I deliberately avoid going anywhere by bus when the schools let out.

I live about 20 miles away right now although I have lived as far as 9-10,000 miles away on occasion.

I wish I lived closer though. I was fortunate enough to go to high school in a place where I like to be at times. They actually have a ski lift that connects my high school to 4000 vertical feet of skiing. When I was a kid I had to drive about a mile. Tuesday and Thursday mornings.....fabulous powder days.

Tough to make out, but if you see the blue boom of a crane behind the pine trees center left it was working on a school addition I believe

Ha - too late, I realized that you wanted to ask about those who had already graduated. Eh.

I live far enough from my high school, anyway... 25 miles.

1,100. I haven't lived within 500 miles near it since I graduated in 2003.

32 miles. This could be colored by the fact that my folks left the state a year after I graduated. I don't know or keep up with anyone that still lives in that town...

Hmmm. IIRC we didn't have guards in my school. OK, well, we did have a color guard.

I'm glad that I'm now in the 2000+ bracket.

Embarrassingly, I'm now in the less than 10 miles category, thanks to a 'I need to move house in a hurry and the rental market is stupidly tight' earlier this year. Actually, I'm probably in walking distance, maybe 30 minutes away.

Before that, I was in the 11<x<50 miles category since the mid nineties.

I'm around 250 miles away, and because there will be no reason to stay within that 250 mile radius after I graduate college I can only go farther.

Right now I live less than a mile away. I did live about 2,500 miles away at one time.
