Okay guys! Here's what I know about Songbird. She's a lawyer, she knows a lot of BIG words, she has two sons with bits, and has Isis as her Avatar.

So, questions?

1)Why did you pick Songbird as your UserName?
2)Why did you pick Isis as your Avatar?
3) Tell us more about Isis.
4) Do you want EZ to have exclusive naming rights for your nickname?

Yeayyyy!!!!
Let the show Begin!!!

(1) Because singing is my great passion in life, second to *nothing*
(2) She is a strong feminine goddess figure, and represents everything about women that is special. I aspire to be like her.
(3) See above. Egyptians worshipped her powers as the "mother" of creation and fertility.
(4) No. He hates me - I would like someone who likes me to do it.

Here is a site on Isis.

http://www.touregypt.net/isis.htm

Note that the primary power of Isis was in using "words of power", also she had knowledge of prounouncing words in the correct manner to get the magic effect. Thus her powers were

"Words of Power"

"Knowledge of Pronouncing"

very fitting for Songbird I'd say. So a derivitive of this would be appropriate. I agree Zero, Veracious is an excellent word for her. Thanks for posting the dictionary definition.

Well the vast majority of my suggestions have had something about song in them! It is your first love in life, along with your children (you said, and I believe that).

Even the Indra one had a song suggestion, despite the fact it has been so roundly hijacked and lowered in tone. I am glad I am not choosing! ;)

I vote that YOU be the one to choose, Geoff!!!! :smooch:

Extramountable? Is there a better (non made-up) antonym?

Let it go on record that I only want to be surmounted by the *right* people.

No-one's managed to do it yet, intellectually or in any other sense. So I guess I remain a mystery...

Though if you're going for a more extreme word than that, I'd vote ultrasurmountable, but as far as I know, that's made up.

Borrowing from her gender title, which I think is pretty good by itself -

"Surmountable Sexual Tigress"

Or maybe work in "resilient" somewhere?

Geoff

OK,well Indra is the Hindu God of Rain and Thunder (as well as apparently liking one of Songbirds favourite sexual positions)

So how about....

"Weather Songs of the Indra Tigress"

I say "Wife of Indra" counts as one word since it's a phrase, and we go with that.

No "Wife of Indra" is not meaningful enough in itself.

Motion denied.

What I meant... was that I thought that "Wife of Indra" should count as one word, and the title you suggested (Melodious Lascivious Wife of Indra) therefore counted as three words total. The motion was meant to confirm that.
Clarified motion re-opened.

Yeah! I thought The Wife of Indra was a particular species of that female bug that eats the male after sex. Walking sticks.

If so, it has to be the whole thing to describe that species.

Oh, and you might want to consider who the wife of Indra actually is :

Indrani was Indra's wife and consort; in the early Vedic accounts she was merely a female shadow of him. She is sometimes referred to as the goddess of wrath. She was the daughter of the demon Puloman, whom Indra killed. She was always described as beautiful, but was said to have one thousand eyes. In later Hindu times, she came to personify jealousy and was regarded as of evil intent. In southern India, however, she was ranked as one of the nine astral deities who were the highest of the gods. Her symbolic animal was either the lion or the elephant
