Seriously... I don't mean that in the "I SUPPORT RON PAUL" way. I just think this political ad is ridiculously well done.

Yea it's pretty good, Ron Paul supporters have made lots of really good videos. Honestly I was just glad I didn't open up this thread to see the Chuck Norris/Mike Huckabee campaign ad.

hah, yeah.. definitely wasn't that.

I think I might be becoming a Ron Paul supporter btw. I'm not quite sure yet. There's just not a single candidate that actually says what they think as opposed to what a focus group tells them they should think...

It's just, refreshing... even though i'm not sure I agree with the economics. But wtf do I know about economics anyway? :)

Hmm, US haven't had an assassination in a while. But then again, this guy is probably a crook anyways.

I would neither confirm nor deny that. I'd never delude myself into thinking that everyone who supports my guy must have all the same reasons for doing so.

I guess I shoulda just mentioned explicitly that I planned to increase my knowledge in the area...

Intro to Macro / Micro in College wasn't quite enough. The prof really played up how AWESOME the federal reserve was the whole time.

So Ron Paul's ideas are quite new to me... but there are a lot of people that agree with him apparently, beyond just Barry Goldwater Jr... he's even got Steve Forbe's on his side.

So, yeah... I'm not an economic heavy weight and frankly, I doubt that you are either booyalab. So get off your high horse won't yah ;).

And yeah that was directed AT YOU! hehe.

Personally I know all about economics having studied it in many classes during college as well as on my own time. Ron Paul knows more about economics and monetary policy than anyone in government, period. We've got congressmen who still think to dollar is backed by gold. In my opinion talk of economics without any knowledge of monetary policy is just ridiculous.

Ron Paul is the only candidate WITH a position on monetary policy, as far as I know. I highly doubt most the others even know what a central bank is let alone understand the reasons our country was never supposed to have one. The ability to increase the money supply whenever the Fed feels like it has ruined our foreign policy, our economy, caused huge bubbles in tech and housing, led to a ridiculous expansion of government size way beyond what we could actually afford, and many other things.

Give me a real money system where money has value and must actually be PAID FOR to use, and then we can talk about what issues deserve our money. I don't think the average american realizes that if we actually PAID for any of the governments actions directly we'd be broke already.
