In addition to being the smartest (http://forums.intpcentral.com/showthread.php?t=2271), Minneapolis is now the Top Tech city in the US.

The rankings, according to Popular Science magazine:

Complain that my city was named. Complain that yours wasn't. Complain about the criteria. Cry me a river. So on and so forth.

This is pretty much what I expected Minneapolis to look like.

lol there are 1 or 2 that heat up like that every block for a mile and a half along that street and more throughout the twin cities and surrounding suburbs. The way you talk is alternately making you look ignorant and the rest of the US cities in the rankings look even worse in comparison, but maybe that's your intent.

That should put Minneapolis up there with Brockway, Audbinville, and North Haverbrooke.

that's amazing that you've memorized all of the appropriate data for each of those cities in order to compare it with all of the appropriate data for Minneapolis.....amazing that someone is even more of a loser than I am!

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but to figure out the right words you still have to read once in awhile.

Quite impossible. Especially when you get the joke.

I got the joke using the context and intuition. You're probably not that clever.. though if you are you are also a loser. Your joke may be based on fact, but that would make you a loser for doing all the pointless work required.

I'm torn between wanting this thread of mine to have direction, but not wanting anyone else to post so this gem of yours doesn't get buried

maybe our winters are what keep us from getting mugged on the street. *noticed you live in DC*

I've been to the Twin Cities a few times and seen "Fargo" enough times to know I would never want to live there regardless of all of the accolades it gets. I also hated, and will always hate, Kirby Puckett, Dan Gladden with his terrible hair, and Kent Hrbek. Randy Moss is a nut and Mike Tice is a terrible coach. Although you have extremely cold winters and call yourself "the State of Hockey", you lost your pro hockey team to Dallas for Christ's Sake. The University of Minnesota football team is made up of choke-artists who alway find a way to keep the Little Brown Jug in the possession of THE REAL U OF M. All of your "safe streets" and whatnot only make you soft. I'd rather live in Wussconsin.

Oh wait, I live outside of Detroit.

Hrm... I wonder if there is a correlation between shitty professional sports teams and a smarter population...

Not counting defunct hockey, I believe all of their three other major sports teams got to the playoffs this year.

This all reminds me of the time the Mensa group tried to run Springfield. They failed.

our pro sports teams aren't shitty, just apocalyptically disappointing. (bring up our hopes then smash them with a hammer and piss on them)
