I had never heard of a parasitic twin head before.
It's incredibly horrifying! The article mentions other parasitic twins capable of smiling and blinking! And then they had to separate them! That's awful!
Egyptian doctors said they removed a second head from a 10-month-old girl suffering from one of the rarest birth defects in an operation on Saturday.

I wonder what life would be like as a parasitic head that survived... :/

Now, I wonder what pro-life activists would say about this. Is it murder to remove a parasitic head?

Would you want to keep a second head, if it meant you'd be twice as smart?
(This is horrifying.. I can't stop staring at that picture.)

"Honey, did we ever tell you about the sister you once had"
"No mommy, what happend to her?"
"Well she was stuck to your head so we had to cut her off. See! We do love you!
We love you so much we killed for you!"

I don't know why, but I didn't find this very funny.
Boneca - I think the Muslims don't do abortions, so it can't be comaperd to it.

Parasitic twins is a special, rare case of conjoined twins. There's a pair in the US in which both are perfectly normal intellectually, and one is only head and upper chest.

Wow, that's fucked up
I guess I'll have to add Not-being-a-deformed-baby-head to my Reasons to be Happy list.

Oh my. I've never seen anything like this. It's amazing they're alive, I don't understand how it can be possible anatomically.
I guess I'll have to add Not-being-a-deformed-baby-head to my Reasons to be Happy list.Me too.

It's all very crazy an unnerving.
And reminds me of Zaphod Breeblebrox.

That's just mean.
But I can't help being reminded of this:

Using their difference for sensational effect. Which may not be what you meant at all.

Somehow I think I am no longer going to use that particular proverb anymore.

And I thought the times of 'The Elephant Man' are gone.

The guiness show on fox showed a Chinese man who grew into adulthood with a parasitic twin...much smaller than this one, but still clearly a second head, complete with a mouth that open and closed along with his own (er, regular mouth).

Wow. They've probably already hit puberty by now. So there's the tricky issue of boyfriends....

On the other hand, every guy who hooks up with one of them will be automatically getting a threesome.
And twiiiiinzzz!

They will probably each date different boys. That would be awkward. The boys would get in trouble if they held the wrong hand.

I still don't see how it's anatomically possible...

Keep in mind that the girls share everything from the waist below.
Though I have a feeling they won't get many requests for dates: they'd scare most boys.

what if one of them is lesbian and the other one isn't?

or if one of them turns suicidal?
I'm sure evolution will deal with it one way or another.
Here's to conjoined twins!

I saw the documentry on them last year here in New Zealand. When it came to boys they both liked different boys at school. They play sports and stuff.
I know its weird but i used to dream of having a second head, when i was a kid it was my wish.
