E - no question with the crowds following him. An introvert wouldn't want 12 guys crowding him.

N - Jesus clearly looked toward the future in Heaven

F - His work was about value judgements

J/P - I am leaning toward P

ENFP. The similarities to Andy Kaufman are striking.

What about his unknown life for the first 30 or so years? Sounds a bit intraverted.

He could be an introvert, but he'd have to be an affiliative introvert type, like INFJ or INFP. I lean toward J because he has a strong introverted intution process--foreseeing (as you note above). And he absolutely has to have extraverted feeling. I'm thinking ENFJ or INFJ.

I agree, it is quite derogatory for Andy.

But as an example of the practical pranks they both loved, Jesus died and resurrected, Andy broke his neck in a wrestling contest. Plenty of others.

Edit: when Andy got the cancer that would eventually kill him, no one believed that. Is that not similar to some people still believing to Jesus being alive?

Jesus was XXXX. But if he was a type he'd be ESTP.

Insane people don't have types.

Ok, seriously? Probably NF- something. Not INFP.

ENFJ, I suppose. I don't think a P would be much into the whole prophet thing.

It would seem easy to determine Jesus' type, except for the fact that it depends on which interpretation of him one is observing.

One may say that this thread is obviously dealing with the Christian based interpretation; but, even within this Platonic enboldened view, many different types of Christian based faiths/views exist.

jesus was mentally ill which makes him impossible to type class.

I still get a feeling he was introverted.

intraverted, intuitive, feeling, judging.

jesus is that, if you want a decent veiw of him then read the 4 gospels, they are written from the various SJ SP NF NT(luke) views.

Ooh! A quote from the Book of Lies!

I think ENFP, myself.

Hurrah, hurrah! It's the knock Jesus thread! That's always fun.

What did you expect? You know most of us are not exactly religious.

Besides, I compared Jesus to Andy Kaufman. That's certainly not "knocking Jesus". Quite the opposite IMO.

And then. Jesus was ok, nothing spectacular but not that bad either. ( Doesn't compare to Santa though. ) It's his fan club I can't stand.

I was mostly joking.

Didn't Jesus have a God complex?

Didn't Jesus have a God complex?

Jesus didn't. It was the gospel writers and Paul who made a very inaccurate Greek interpretation of Jesus.

Jesus was probably INFJ

but more importantly Brian of Nazerath was INTP.

"Results of this research were presented to the leaders of the Boston Church of Christ in December of 1985. In that two-day meeting, they rejected my explanation and offered several alternative explanations. The first of these had to do with the psychological type of Jesus. Kip McKean argued that all the Boston Church of Christ is doing is making people over after the image of Jesus Christ. He concluded that this research simply proves that Jesus was an ESFJ."

An ESFJ Jesus would be quite a thing.
