More stupid Christian bullshit to amuse you. While this is interesting, they are not really making sense here and I don't know what they're trying to prove: http://www.apologeticspress.org/modules.php?name=Read&cat=7&itemid=2698
Well I'm sold, time to discard all other relevent data to the contrary based on this one anomaly....I always preferred the creationist theory anyway.....it's just more pleasing to beleive in :)

Time travel. Someone from the future liked classic fishing equipment and accidentally left it behind.
Sometimes things can be just too weird to be fake...

I found this a little interesting, so I did a few minutes of googling on Phyllite:
http://mineral.galleries.com/minerals/silicate/pyrophyl/pyrophyl.htm
Chemistry: AlSi2O5OH , Aluminum Silicate Hydroxide.
Hardness is 1 - 1.5 (soft enough to be scratched by a fingernail).

In the Midnapur district of West Bengal, phyllite stone is used due to its softness and pliability.

"Does this “proof” fit evolutionary theory? Hardly! You cannot embed a 100-year-old fishing reel inside of a 300-million-year-old rock."
Unless you're kinda strong, or have a big mallet I guess. Qualities also helpful when confronted by a creationist. :P

Just like the brains of creationists.

i want to know how the creationists can say the earth is 8 thousand years old, created from scratch in 7 days by god and prove it with a 300 million year old fishing reel stuck in a rock

You lack faith, my misguided friend. Come to St. Waynes 9.am Sunday and you shall see the light. Here is a copy of of the New Testa.... hey! where are you going!

It is this kind of mindless BS that makes me angry.
These fundies indicate how stupid and dangerous religion can be
because of the literal interpretation of religious texts.
What bothers me are the others that also interpret things literally
but things that effect all of us. eg. Ronald Reagan believing civilization
will end in fire. Those that believe in Armageddon may be a tad willing
to help bring it on.
Not to mention using bible passages to justify bad behaviour.
There are too many examples of this.

uuhggghh...don't get me started on Intelligent Designers and young earth creationists. These people need to be called out as loud and as often as possible.
First of all, what ID'rs do is NOT science. They will try to claim they have their scientists but it's a bunch of bolony and here's why. ID is NOT science because "Goddidit" is not science. This is the core of the ID's argument. You cannot observe Goddidit, you can't test Goddidit, you can't make predictions with Goddidit, Goddidit is not flasifiable....the bottom line is, you have to accept Goddidit on faith and therefore it is of religion.
    8O
God only pretended the earth was created through what you speak as a means to test our faith, you have failed his test and will burn in hell.

How do you know it is God and not the Devil? ;P
He spoke to me and confirmed that all I wanted to believe was true.
