Forum logo

[NGene]

There seems to be differing opinions about the INTP forum's logo. Some people want to keep the old one, while others would want a new logo or logos. I personally am indifferent - go whichever way you want. I just quickly threw the logo together at the old forum to have something to replace the default logo, but some people seem to be really fond of it.

I'd like the community to decide, so just go ahead and vote in the poll. If you have any ideas what the logo should look like, post them in this thread. This is supposed to be a community, so I think the community should decide about the theme of the logo.

Oh yeah, and if there are any graphics wizards out there who'd want to create the logo... you know what to do, post here. At least Avengardh seems to be interested..?

Anyway, on to my own personal suggestion. I'd want a new logo, the eyes on the old logo are from a PC game, so it might be good to have something more... original. However, I like the idea of having two eyes in the logo.

I'd like something along the lines of one of the avatars at the "old" forum (whomever it may belong too.....can't seem to find anything once I start searching :ph34r: ) saying "INTP...analyzing" in front of this background showing the EKG-zigzagging thingy...

Yep, that's a good idea. It takes a little effort, but if someone is willing to do it, it'd be great. But even if we ended up having the same logo for all or many of the skins, I think its colors should be modified to fit the different skins.

I thought someone could make a skin called "INTP Classic" or something that would look exactly like the old forum's theme. That would be, em, a little piece of nostalgia or something. :) But that's a little lower priority than the other tasks.

It's one of the MBTI mousepads typelogic.com is selling. The image is pretty cool, I'm just wondering if it's copyrighted or something, so I don't know how freely it can be used...

I already talked it up with Avengardh (http://www.intpcentral.com/forums/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10) to help create a logo for each theme but.. she hasn't been online in a day or two so I don't know if she has made any progress.

How about something based off of INTPs_Rule!'s signature. It's Not Theoretically Possible- I've found that on the internet through google. May be copyrighted or something but I don't know. Of course the old one was fine with me. If we have a humanoid in the logo, make sure it emphasizes the eyes like that one did.

Yeah, I tried doing the integration with the old logo, since fc said to go ahead and do it.
I woudn't mind helping with one or two logos, I really liked how the chunkstyle logo came out though.
I agree with whoever said they would be willing if we did this as a group, bblite is kinda hard to do just because I recently dicovered the image is sliced up into tables.

But, my style is different in the sense that I like geometric shapes and fonts, I wouldn't mind grabbing chunkstyle and making it over though, I think it would be fun.

So, to get to the point, I would certainly be glad to contribute, just send me an e-mail or PM me with specifics and I'm there.
