I looked at M F Hussain's website and it seems like "Ganga-Yamuna," the painting in the BBC article, isn't the only painting that has angered Indians. I couldn't see a lot of detail in the painting in the BBC article, but it didn't seem very offensive to me. Then again, I'm not Hindu. I sort of like some of his stuff that I found here. (http://www.mfhussain.com/) "Mother India" is nice, but it seems to have drawn a lot of criticism, judging from the comments. I don't get it. It's not like it's :pornstar:

Some of the controversy about his depiction of Hindu deities might stem from the fact that he is Muslim, not Hindu. People believed he was trying to stir up more enmity between two groups who still live with an uneasy truce in some parts of India. Muslims objected to some of the songs in his film, so I guess he gets it from both sides, really.
