I want to add a second monitor to my PC but am not sure how to do it.

My PC has onboard VGA which is what I am using currently.
It also has an AGP slot.
Is it a matter of just buying an AGP card and pluging it in or do I have to get
some special kind of video card?

[EDIT]

Found out how to do it.
I have an old PC with PCI vga card. Will try using that that later today.
Otherwise buy some fancy card with 2 outputs.

It think 2 separate cards will do. Take in mind that it takes a lot of time to get used to working woth 2 monitors.

Many of the newer video cards have two adapter connections so you can run them with dual monitors. I'm currently running a Radeon 9700 Pro card (which is not all that new) with two monitors. You can configure it by right clicking on the desktop and choosing "Properties," then clicking on the "Settings" tab (assuming one of the Windows flavors).
