This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm so glad I'm far away from the south now.

Wow, am I glad I went to school before this craze. I would have been in jail non-stop.

I agree. Zombies are dangerous. They should be confined. :P

Are they really serious about the court date and him being arrested...?  This is so stupid.... I wonder if that can happen in the north....

That is about the most idiotic thing I have ever seen. Personally, I don't see that it is justified as a threat until he sends the writings to someone.

Personally, I don't see that it is justified as a threat until he sends the writings to someone. Because if he does, the zombie hordes might actually dig the idea of attacking his school..?

Because if he does, the zombie hordes might actually dig the idea of attacking his school..? Well, start with the unlikely premise that the authorities are correct and that there was no mention of zombies. Until he actually sends the "threatening papers" to some authority, all he is doing is writing ideas down in his room. To charge him with a crime would be a violation of his rights.

I find the tone of that article more than a little disturbing. I suppose I should just learn to relax, pray for the souls of domestic terrorists (and Democrats), and burn their books.
I know the issue here is school violence, but I am sensing a deeper trend in this country. Hopefully it's my overactive imagination.
Edit:
Just saw this link on Fark, thought it might pertain:

The authorities in nearby star systems are considering neutralizing the human race after receiving disturbing transmissions from their small planet called Earth. The transmissions, innocuously titled "Star Trek", document the invasion and/or destruction of various races and beings.
"There are a lot of references to Klingons, we believe that to be a pseudonym. Unfortunately, we cannot be certain which species is being targeted." said Zebon Klersk, Vice Admiral of the Unified Planets Navy.
The Human star system is currently in enforced isolation. Stricter measures may be applied once the issue has been brought before the U.P. Congress.
