I'm going to be living in Tokyo for a year, starting 3 months ago.
Hit me up if you're in the area or visiting.
Maybe we should have a Tokyo meetup. I've been here 5 months and love it... and Im not moving anytime soon.
Since there are >12M people here, Im sure 4 or 5 more INTPs live in this city.

We should definitely do it! I went to a small one in London once and it was a blast.
How did you end up in Tokyo? What ward are you in?
Naz.

Is it usually academic scholarships, or being a foreign exchange student, I'm guessing? I had a chance/opportunity to pursue being in Japan for a year while in High School, but was concerned with being their for education purposes (and being stuck with a family that probably wouldn't relate to me; hence not living up to people's expectation, where I have low expectations for myself) rather than actually be there to search the country out.
Reading books like, 'Inland Sea' by Donald Richie, or 'The Roads to Sata,' were pretty intriguing and fairly uncommon experiences of Japan.
Sometimes I stereotype/suspect more NT are in Japan than other parts of the world, though it's only because I relate to the creation by NTs in videogames and anime.

Who said INTPs weren't social? We had a nice little meetup and saw some interesting/weird things.
If anyone else is in this neck of the woods give us a shout
