I went and checked out Ulysses, for reading purposes. (Working in a library ain't bad at all.) It appears that there are more books written about books by James Joyce than there are actual books by Joyce. It was annoying trying to find the actual book among the compendiums of essays and guides to and explanations of, all mysteriously titled the same as the book, or only slightly different.
