If anyone noticed a slight lag earlier, please excuse it, it was me backing up mysql tables. Thank you for your patience, but they had to lock, as I was too stupid to use mysqlhotcopy :).

Is there something weird going on at the moment? Not only was I getting odd SQL errors, but for a few hours now, "New posts" doesnt work with Firefox (I just get the php text in full not converted to a web page) yet other links work fine and the whole thing is ok in internet explorer. So it seems Mozilla/Firefox specific.
Just wondered if it was just me, that's all..

Right now? The lock just took place for about three-five minutes. For hours? I have no idea. If anyone else reports it I'll look into it.

Also-if anyone has problems, if you want it fixed faster, get on IRC and talk to me live...it's the way to get my attention much more easily heh.

Well if it helps.. here is an excerpt of what I get (and still get) when I click 'new posts' in firefox. Everything else works fine.

Well I've had random error messages ( "database error", "could not locate server ), 2 min response times ( followed by an error message ) and whatnot during the last two days, but don't feel like complaining about it 'cause you'll just blame it on me having a wrong kind of mouse.

Look-understand something. I have over 800 users on this forum, I have to assume, if it seems like it's a client issue, it is, until someone else reports it as well. If I have multiple reports, I can assume it's not.
I don't know if you're computer literate, or have no idea what assembly is. For all I know, you're a podunk using your CD tray as a cupholder. It's not an insult, it's the only logistical thing one can do. If I don't have the same problem, and I can't corroborate it with evidence on my end, I have to assume it's on your end.

Geoff: I'm looking into your issue now, I have had a similar issue with another page.

I've had no Firefox problems... I read Geoff's excerpt minutely but have come across nothing similar.
But last night I wrote an excellent post detailing how immigrants are victimised by Gangmasters in GB, hit send, received the reply that this wasn't allowed in Quick Reply ( it wasn't in Quick Reply ), went back and got the beige writing pad and it was gone forever. Firefox kindly informed me that non-something stuff had been erased from the cache.
I never rewrite posts.

The CD tray is not a cupholder? Damn. I have to start using the windows CD for that now.
Look, I understand it. And I understand ( from your numerous rants & your sig) that you're a bit tired on these complaints. But maybe, just maybe I wasn't entirely serious with that.
I didn't feel like complaining because I usually don't feel like complaining about every minor problem. And I haven't had much problems with the site ( except for the "could not locate.. " problem some days ago ). Overall, you've done good job here.

Heh, yes. I can take a joke, contrary to the impression I may give off, I do have issues telling when people are joking and when they're angry with me though, in a text medium, usually because I'm used to people being irrational and screaming at me, which is usually the same.
As for claverhouse, yes, there are some bugs that we're looking into, I got a list full of them. We're going to upgrade VBulletin sometime soon.
Every time I read your sig I can't help but think of Shai's fuck jemma threads.
Anyways. The links up top and on the main page (to things like stats) seem to be broken.

Yea, the rewrite module got dumped out of the httpd somehow, I'll put it back in tonight.
