here is something I did for class when I was going 48 hours without sleep. perspective is fun. i was dreaming while awake and working, having a conversation with a man living in one of those buildings. (buildings from Pripyat). I want to colour it and get rid of the construction lines.

Very nice. I like how you did the grass in between the concrete.

the grass, the trees, the meteor that hit the pavement, all these details were great

Great drawing and a fascinating subject. It made me go looking and I found this link to photos of the place.

Thanks, it was to practice multiple perspectives (like the rock hitting in the ground). The pripyat photos, and this site (http://www.kiddofspeed.com/default.htm) are powerful. The way she narrates the whole thing just adds to the haunting beautiful sadness.

Ah, I am jealous. I am trying to learn to draw/paint, and you make that look so easy. I think I have the eye for perspective/composition (see some of my photo threads on here) but I dont seem to have much ability to just draw. I suppose it will come with practice!

Nice. Something seems strange about the perspective, though. Could it be that the perspective of the phone booth in front of the corner building is wrong? I don't think that both sides of it should be the same. And there are a few other things like that that don't seem exactly right.
But it looks really great all the same.
