I'm currently preparing the trivia questions for February, and would like your opinion on your preferred date. For those interested to participate, please vote in the poll. I'll go with the date with the most votes.

Trivia details:

25,000 casino cash up for grabs
total of 50+ questions
across 10(ish) categories
bonus for winner-takes-all in each category.
Questions will be a mix of speed searching skills and some research/elaboration required.
Categories will be released in batches

* Note, the dates are in January as we have a holiday here at the end of the month, so I can stay up the Sundays.

I'm an eejit, cos I didn't realise the time and date converter website uses 24 hour time. I'll be asleep for the start of the second one.

The time of the 3rd option suits me, but the date might be tricky.

In conclusion, ignore my vote. :stupid:

For those who can't convert timezones, this is useful as long as you don't make the same stupid mistake as me:

* If you're asleep at the start of the second one, you'll be asleep at the start of the first one too?

Ah. It took me a while to convert to GMT too. :stupid:

Edit: Hey, how come the posts are editable. They shouldn't be.

Edit 2: I assume the fluffly little clouds are ok with all times btw.

Yeah, but the day is unlikely to be as convenient.

I completely suck at timezones. Which is problem at work when I have to phone overseas.

I think if you're the quizmeister, you can edit so you can update the OP and whatnot? (that's my guess, anyway)

In response to a PM:

4am GMT would make it about 8am PM LA and 11pm NY.

4pm GMT = 8pm AM LA, 11am NY then.

*Edited times, thanks PenguinHunter. Ugh, I hope I got the time right for my own zone.

The 4pm ones are better for me, I don't function at 4am.

Hey, this weekend 23-25 I'll be somewhere with no internet connection! Let's do it next weekend...

I think aelan should just surprise us all.

Ha. She could do that.

Just completely ignore the poll and when she gets home from work she could just start the contest and be all like "All right INTPs. THIS SHIT IS ON RIGHT NOW. Why? CUZ I FEEL LIKE IT. Now dance for my amusement. If you're good, I MIGHT give you the casino cash."

 Darn. I put in two, TWO questions especially for you. The rest of my sweethearts here got one at most.

And damn you guys, fluffy little cloud gets the most votes, while the proper options are tied 2 ways. :stupid:

^ The above sounds workable too. :happpy:

Since I have 9 categories, I could launch them in batches too. I could start around 10pm of 23rd my time, which would be 2pm GMT 23rd. At least that way the Aussies can participate too.

I prefer the 23-25 weekend as it is the lunar new year time and my dance classes are off plus the 26 and 27th are hols for me.

Hmm. I should just take Anon's suggestion and launch it at whatever time's good for me.

Damn, that means Anon will kick our ass, because we all know that it only takes a couple dance lessons to turn a person into an amazing dancer.

Um.

Some news. I'll be travelling out of the country 24-28th of the month (that's 23rd - 27th for all of you on the other side of the earth).

So... I'll either launch the quiz evening 23rd, which is going to be friday morning/afternoon/evening for folks here, depending on whether you're in America/Europe/Australia, respectively.

Or I may launch it on the 31st. Since the votes are split with no clear choice except the fluffy cloud, I guess it's up to me then.

^ If there's internet connection, I can bring my laptop and you can type and scream at the same time.

As long as you don't drop my vaio into the sea, I'm amenable. :thelook:

25,000 casino cash up for grabs.

9 categories ranging from sciences and culture to MBTI to puzzles.

Progressively released categories so I don't go mad marking.

You can answer again if your original answer is wrong, and no one else got it right.

One bonus category to sweep up remainder points, just in case.
