Mafia 2.0 Signup Sheet & New Rules

To sign up either post here, PM me, or rep this post.

1. Communication among the Townsfolk must be done in public. No exceptions. You can PM the Narrator to vote, or ask rule-related questions if you need to. Anyone who receives a game-related private message from another member has the option of forwarding it to me, which will kill the member who originally sent it. In game, that player was stealthily murdered by the recipient of the message.

Please if you sign up, agree to abide by this rule. This is what killed the last game.

2. I'll stop providing any kind of commentary except on issues related to the rules and official messages from the Mafia.

3. I will announce whether or not an eliminated player was guilty or innocent if they were lynched by the Townsfolk. I'd proposed the opposite, but it appeared to be unpopular with the players.

4. Spreadsheets will be banned from play because they're a performance enhancing drug. The game is about lying and it's really hard to lie to a statistical analysis. This shall be known as the BAJ rule.

5. There should be two turns per day of play. The Mafia are expected to figure out who they're going to kill concurrent with Townsfolk voting.

6. Special roles in play will be the Detective, the Doctor, the Vigilante, and the Mafia Detective.

7. Mafia status and special roles will be assigned by die roll.

8. You vote in Townsfolk lynchings by private messaging the Narrator.

9. Oso is a dick this time around. AKA The OMW Rule.

The maximum number of players will be capped at 20. Play will start on Friday.

Describe the role of Vigilante please. Also, it seems kind of weird to assign that role. Isn't the whole point of being a vigilante to choose this for yourself and specifically not blindly do what you're told?

This is interesting. Because I was thinking, if I was a townie this time around, I'd have BAJ lynched first no questions asked. He said his team always wins. I would not let him stick around to find out which one he's on. Too big a risk. Sorry, BAJ. ;)

Aside fom that, I rather enjoyed the spreadsheets, I learned from them.
