I abhor any kind of conflict, and I avoid it to the extent that I can. I have seen this go on but have refrained from posting in the threads in which they were fighting because I didn't want to get dragged in. It is a relief to know that the bickering will stop now, but it is a shame that it had to come to this. They are both interesting people; I, for one, would happily welcome them back if they would stop the bickering.

there were attacks from both sides.

It's my personal opinion that since way more people were incompatible with songbird than EZ, then if SB had just been banned..everything would have returned to normal..more or less, but if EZ had just been banned, there still would have been fights. Although EZ had the first thread to be entitled in a straightforward manner of it's intended purpose "anti songbird" it wasn't even the first anti songbird thread. I dont want to name the other people who didn't get along with her on the forum because it might look petty, but there were enough.

I was neutral until she tried to repeatedly drag me into the argument (against my CLEAR wishes) by betraying some of the content of a few of our PRIVATE messages and using it to discredit and bait zedo by taking it totally out of context.

BTW, as I understand it, EZ and SB were suspended not banned. They can return now if they want, although indications seem to be they "don't want". Of course, they might have to modify their behavior (primarily to start ignoring each other) which is why they choose exile I suppose. It's like they have an obsessive compulsive disorder with each other.

Or if they posted within minutes of each others from different IPs or something. It would be too much of a hassle to log out, get new IP, log in, post, log out, get new IP, etc. when they were basically posting oneliners at a post per minute rate. (Actually, the login/logout would probably be too much in itself. Consider how much they both posted.)

Can you find the IPs where individual posts came from? Just to help songbird get a grip on reality.

The fact that they may have different IP addresses is irrelevant - he/she could be using a lap top for one of them.

This Zedo thing is a sick twisted game with me that he has been playing over several months.

The truth is Booyalab is the only person I ever had conflict with before Zedo came on the forum (no-one else had attacked me before that), and after Zedo surfaced, the Zedo attacks started pretty quickly.

I've noticed that they often come on and post at different times, but again, that's not conclusive (as I said they could be using different IP addresses).

If I'm wrong on this, the fact remains that the attacks on me have been sick, and unwarranted by my own persona or behaviour.

If there's any conspiracy at all indicated by the fact that you'd only had conflicts with Booyalab before Zedo showed up, it's probably that B and Z are buddies and thus on the same "side." Just to correct some misinformation, Booyalab started here in Sept 2004. Zedo started in Nov 2004 a month or so *after* I arrived. In the month before his arrival no-one had flamed me, or even argued with me.

I had an early dispute with Booylab on some views I posted about males and typology. She didn't flame me however on these occasions.

The vitriol from Zedo started in January of this year.

I agree with a lot of this. I could have chosen to ignore him, and not respond to posts. However once this started happening, often Zedo would post some bile about me which I didn't respond to, and then Mgbradsh would jump on the bandwagon and post something agreeing with it, or flaming me.

That becomes hard to ignore. From a reputational point of view, leaving something like that sitting there with no response means that essentially I am allowing myself to be humiliated.

How would others perceive a lack of response from me? And Zedo would continue his attacks on multiple threads, sometimes not even in response to a post from me.

Translated (but not nearly so poetic) it means roughly "One shouldn't argue with fools any more than one should try to open ones mouth wider than an oven." Now I know that it's always possible to use somebody elses voice, but I do not see why somebody would go through all that trouble doing this - something that is no fun at all - merely to convince people he was not a fake.

It is my opinion that he is real, only he is playing you all for a fool, constantly - because it is his way, and because he is afraid to show himself, his feelings, his interests, his whatever.

I also think his teasing of late was self-destructive behavior, and I strongly suspect this ban is something he secretly longed for, or at least knew was coming, being bored of having to keep up this fake image he played here.

And yes-that would be possible, but if you lookup where an IP is from, and check into it, see if it is consistently where he posts from, and do other port scans, you can see if it is a proxy. That is, unless by magic his computer is transmitting by telepathy to the remote proxy, in which case, yes, it would be undetectable, and your paranoid fantasy might be grounded.
