View Full Version : Yay Rah Rah RAJAH! R.I.P. :(

Bloodlust stirred the angry mob.
"HANG RAJAH!" cried Puzzled Observer.
"HANG HER!" called out works.
"Dammit. Not this nonsense again." said Rajah. She punched Puzzled Observer in the nose and while he was nursing the beginnings of an alarming nosebleed she slugged works in his left eye, flattening him to the ground.
"Fine. If you're all going to be like this, I'll just hang myself. I'll be in better company anyway."
And much to the amazement of all present, she did just that. She strode up to the gallows and put the noose around her neck.
"I'll have you all know that I am a loyal member of the Townsfolk and I think you are complete idiots. The Mafia will kill you all one by one until the very last of you is deservedly dead. I stated my case before you, and it fell on ears that were both deaf and deeply foolish. Goodbye. I will see you all in Hell."
And with that she pulled the lever, the gallows opened beneath her, and with one final twitch, Rajah was no more.
Rajah was innocent.
Final Vote:
Rajah - puzzled-observer, HappyNoodleBoy, Autumn, Works Etherealsage
2ds - RinconSB LastRailway
Works - Madrigal
LastRailway - 2ds
ApeTheDog - djm
puzzled-observer - Eye-In-TiPi MoneyJungle ApetheDog Rajah

Why am I only voting for two people, Oso? I thought I specifically told you to add my name behind all the names.

Also we're screwed unless we hit a mafiosi next turn, if we aren't already. This points out one thing: mgb was playing a game when he was defending Rajah. The mafia is shrewd.

So.. I don't suppose anyone will believe me anymore but here's what's next:
LR initially suggested rajah
so probable targets are works, LR, HNB, Me, autumn

I say we hold off on lynching PO. Better the devil we know, than the devil we don't. Best case scenario, we can force him into voting for whomever we want and if he doesn't cooperate, just turn on him.
I'd say I'm pretty highly suspect at this point as well.
Etherealsage

HNB and autumn have been most suspicious, followed by PO. I still think LR is innocent.
Edit: Agreed with works.

Well broskies, I fucked up, PO fucked up, mafia pwned my face. I'm just bad at this game.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to believe anymore.
I'm worried that PO is a townie as well and we got hoodwinked into putting them against each other.

Fact: RinconSB and djm were online in the final minutes of the voting and haven't changed their votes away from where they do no good at all.
The mafia would not interfere or give a shit if there were two townies up for lynching.

Who's we? Forcing me to cooperate requires that YOU all cooperate. And it's likely that it's going to be difficult to get cooperation at this point.

Final Vote:
Rajah - puzzled-observer, HappyNoodleBoy, Autumn, Works Etherealsage
2ds - RinconSB LastRailway
Works - Madrigal
LastRailway - 2ds
ApeTheDog - djm
puzzled-observer - Eye-In-TiPi MoneyJungle ApetheDog Rajah
Looks like the mafia convinced Etherealsage to vote with them against Rajah.
My updated list:
puzzled-observer
HappyNoodleBoy
Autumn
Works
I predict that I will either be the next mafia hit, or maybe the mafia will decide to spare me in order to throw suspicion on me and let the townspeople lynch me for them. Either way, I'll be pushing daisies within two rounds.

Currently I suspect rinconSB, works, djm, puzzledobserver, happynoodleboy. In that order.
Not sure about Madrigal either, she has been very quiet and uncharacteristically uninterested. But that is conjecture.

HNB, specifically. Works is speculation at this point, but I think at least 1 of the four is mafia, maybe 2, but I don't think anymore than that. It'd be too convenient.

She did pop out and try to kill me.
And then I popped right back and tried to kill her.
One of us is probably townie.

I'm going to say the Mafia won't kill me tonight. They'll kill another secondary character. I've probably caused more harm than good by being vocal.
In any case, I'm voting for djm for not taking either the first or second vote very seriously. My secondary choice is 2ds.
If you think I'm mafia, then it's obviously a poor idea to follow my voting lead.
If I get killed tonight, it could mean I'm on to something with djm and the mafia want me dead. If I get killed tonight, it could indicate that djm is innocent and the Mafia will use my death as a catalyst for lynching a third townsperson. I think their safe strategy would be to kill someone not so in the spotlight as they have done the first two times.
We'll see who they kill and where the chips fall.
And also, blah blah blah, I'm a townie.

If i had to choose one i'd say rinconsb was a better target given that he switched his vote near the end of the first lynching period -- Seemingly without reason.

That's where my suspicions lie as well, puzzledobserver. He had every chance to change his vote, being online during the whole period - if he'd even so much as clicked on the "new posts" button he would have noticed something going on.
This is what it says on his profile at the moment:

New Posts Index @ 09:48 PM (this minute)
His last post was at 7:51 - which is two minutes before I started my "anti blockvote" thread. He could have just gone off and done something else during that time but I doubt he'd be this disinterested if he was a townie.
If anything he would have noticed the blockvote thread puzzledobserver started, since he uses "new posts", and he would have noticed a lot of activity in the voting threads. He can't claim ignorance.
I'm voting RinconSB, and I'm stating my case right now in case I get taken out by the mafia tonight.

I'm noticing the Townsfolk seem kinda discouraged at this point. I wanted to point out that with the Vigilante having a successful strike, the Townsfolk track record isn't as grim as some people seem to think it is. In order to pull off a win, Townie kills need to maintain a record of fifty-fifty or better. So far you've got two fails and a win. If your next lynching gets a Mafia player, you're not at all behind in the game. The Vigilante could also help out the Townie track record again too.

Dude, I'm a townie.
I've mentioned this elsewhere on the forum before, but I leave my laptop on pretty much 24/7 with a browser with multiple tabs open at INTPc all the time. I won't claim complete ignorance, but I spent most of last night playing my guitar and, as I can see now reading through this subforum, I missed a lot posts.
Also, I stuck with 2ds because I didn't think Rajah was guilty, I haven't yet become more convinced of someone else yet, and switching my vote around willy-nilly seems like an even worse idea. I'm for bloc voting in principle, but I'm still going to have to be convinced.

Well, it's discouraging when townies kill two of our own despite our best efforts-- it feels like, "fuck, what's the point? We're totally just guessing". Which maybe is the point, but then it makes the outcome feel random instead of having "figured something out". Whatever, at least we get more information as the game progresses.
Also, I have a feeling the Vigilante just made a lucky guess. I'm thankful that s/he chose correctly, but it could spell disaster for the townies if s/he chooses wrongly. The Vigilante has more kill opportunities, but I'm undecided about whether s/he should actually use them. What do the rest of the townies think about this?
Your voting pattern is certainly suspect.
I don't have a voting pattern, I just vote whoever is making me most suspicious at the time. I feel for voting for Ape now though.
