Out of the blue the Weekly Canard has returned, with issue 29 ( earlier copies can be accessed from the page ).

Issue 29 (http://www.theweeklycanard.osamabinrumsfeld.com/)

Front page quote:

Make Way For The Neo-cons!

"Private No Class Jonah Goldberg reporting for duty SIR!"
Pentagon (WC) Facing a critical shortage of concerned patriots who are willing to sacrifice their lives so that citizens of the Middle East can vote for their next despotic hand puppet, the United States Army has responded by raising its maximum enlistment age to 39. This is certain to be a boon for worldwide democracy as the war enthusiasts in this age group will finally be able to put deeds to their words, and put to rest the idea that they're actually a pack of pusillanimous pansies who would flee in fear from a Care Bear with a squirt gun. Little did they know that it would be they who'd have the opportunity to provide desperately needed relief to the overextended National Guardsmen who've already served honorably at great personal and familial sacrifice.

That's nice.

Thanks, Swami Barmi. Let's hope it continues ( not that there's much going on in the Iraq war for now: a deathly hush has fallen on the news services. Nothing about the new-found joys of democracy, no battles, even Bush'n'Blair have shut up about it. Just the occasional death of an American, and the more frequent deaths of Iraqis, and the sound of oil installations being ignited: not sexy enough to grip the nations).
