What about a section, not the entire forum, just a special section (like Rants and Raves) where anyone can post anything?
I'm not sure how this forum is built, I've seen some forums that offer the ability for guest's to post comments and they just supply a username (or they are left as anonymous).
Personally, I think it would be interesting to have a place where people could start a discussion on topics they wouldn't want ANYONE to directly trace back to them about (say, an "I have aids" sort of subject), but they would still like to talk about it.

The admins would still have their IP addresses and could link them back to actual members.

I think they already have that, since I am guessing they save every thread they removed.

Although, nothing is stopping you from going over to forumer and starting your own forum about child molestation. Maybe just don't post the url here so the FBI really doesn't come.

Yeah, there would have to be a level of trust... or a proxy server. I could post instructions on how a layman could use a public proxy server and mask their ip.

haven't you read the new INTP profile? (it's called the forum rules but it's actually the new intp profile) It says that INTPS NEED structure REALLY BAD. Or we die and turn into zombies and then go around and misbehave.
