This is a poll to find out how many you have and who gets them.

Edit-looks like the poll is anonymous, it was supposed to be public.

Edit2-maybe this should be moved to purgatory.

I mean yellow cards. It comes on your post. Then a PM specifying if it is an infraction or a warning.

I got one, a warning. But under user CP it is listed under infractions. But the card says warning, and so does the PM. So I guess that means it is a warning.

I dont think I should have gotten one, since strictly speaking I was within the rules, a funny flaming gesture. And it is an exception for this.

Anyway. This got me curious. First time I've seen it on a forum. It is just like a football game.

And as it turns out, there is a good number of people who have one. The poll is even topped out.

So naturally I'm curious as to the nature of this and how it is practiced.

Haha funny. :theclap: They don't give me any. They just roll their eyes and nag me to death. Oh, and ask my P.O. if I need to be arrested again. In other words, it's too much trouble and I don't rate being a bother. I still don't want them though. I fucking hate criticism right?

Yeah I used to get good warnings and finger waggings though. Justly deserved ones I might add.

Oh. It was probably deserved then. I don't think I've ever had an infraction except on the Puddin' when I criticized Pink Piranha's fashion sense. And I'm pretty sure she was just kidding about threatening to ban me. The lack of yellow cards is kind of amazing when you think about what a jerk I often am.

You would have to have been here for long time to get 8. 3 in any 6 month period gets you banned if memory serves. However, looking at my rap sheet it looks like the past 2 were so long ago that I could safely squeeze in a pair right now if I get cracking:devil:

Agreed. I only got a warning, so no near at the same level. 3 infractions in under 6 months and you are toast. That means there is a high level of tolerance. This I like. Since it is annoying if you get insulted. I was called an F. If I was moderator I would ban that person if he did not make a good case out of it.

Delilah's right Junior.....time to take your medicine. One of mine was from Hustler like the day before he quit during one of his anti Limey crusades, hardly legit, but if you dont like it then put on your angel pants and claw your way to the top of this organization till you can say what you like. Otherwise remember that this is an INTP Forum not an ESFJ forum. The rules are nebulous, and power is absolute.

I think the regular members should be able to see when other members have been infracted. Maybe make their yellow cards visible or something. What you could do is add one of those little gold rating stars next to the names of everyone who has gotten an infraction, so the rest of us can know who to watch out for. Better yet, add them to the names of non-INTPs too, just so we don't forget who we're interacting with while posting.

Well, not everyone who's gotten an infraction has gotten it for being a horrible person. I gave one to a very well-liked, friendly member because this person linked to a very lewd photograph without thinking. No harm intended on this person's part, but I still had to infract them for the sake of consistently and fairly upholding the rules.

It would suck if this person was unduly avoided or ostracized for a silly mistake.

Yeah I was just thinking it would be nice kind of like a little prison tat, a badge of dishonor if you will.

But then I figured....If someone had 2 strikes they would be easy prey for people to pick on them and try to incite them towards a banning.

SO why not make it that you get your mark 6 months after the infraction, when the infraction expires. If you win in the arcade they put a little trophy next to your name, why not make the mark for infractors a little scar.

I understand that on the Puddin' infractions are part recreation and part art form. Puddin' has a subforum for complaints about complaints about the management, to give y'all an idea of what it's like.

An infraction is worse than a warning. This hierarchy of terms came with the board software and it's purely arbitrary and not at all obvious. It took us madmins a little while to figure it out ourselves.

If you get an infraction you can goto your user CP and it will be listed there with a date and the name of the arresting officer inscribed upon your profile for all of eternity.

Come to find out you are just a 2 bit small timer. you know there are people on this forum who are back from year long bans. Wrap your head around that Chief.

Well, I'm just a small time crook. Still dont like to be caught. It's an honor thing.

It is listed under infractions. But the PM says it is not. And of course it is not. Since it was in jest. And the rules says specifically that there is exception for this. In addition I was offended first. Much worse. That is subjectively of course. But I was sure I had this all covered. I only called this guy an asshole for laughing of me. I tested this one hour later. Then I was called, for being objective, fuckings stupid, and would laugh if I was deeply penetrated. No moderation here.

So this system so far seems a bit off. Just saying.
