I was talking to an online-friend of mine, describing to her at the same time, the way I view people in general.
I told her that to me, if I found a person that I thought was "the one", it wouldn't really matter to me whether that person was a man or a woman.
I also added that it wasn't like I thought I was bi, because to me physical attraction wasn't really the primary factor when dealing with a person.

I see people as just that, persons, I don't really see the gender.
She told me (psych major) that people referred to that as being "pansexual" or "anthrosexual" and that she wished (she's bi) that other people would think like that.

So, I told my mom yesterday and she took it well, but my brother and dad might never know, unless "the one" ends up being of my same sex.
And I am wondering, does anyone else think like this? Any other thoughts, comments?

Nope nope, must be a girlie. Sexuality lasts until death, so I cannot disregard its presence.

Thanks for the definition, seems I'm stuck without a label, lol.
Doesn't matter to me though...

I appreciate the comments, everyone is entitled to them ^^.

I am open about it, but I have never had sexual feelings except for a member of the female gender. I guess it could happen, but I can't see it as likely.

Hmm.. pansexual also implies that you often participate in sexual acts. Although I don't know if thats offecially the case.

It is important to feel comfortable in your own skin.

I commend you on your bravery; telling you loved ones must have been nerve-wrecking.

I am happily married to a man, but had the right girl come along I suppose society would have felt the need to label me differently.
