The sun and da hawk

let the hawk of loudest soar
on the highest thermals play
let the desert wind sing its choir
to which the bird doth belong

you who preys on the soft
let alone the vile hunt for fun
reach for the sun who warms your wing
and sing your love to the morn

the suns dawn breaks nights peace
and fills the hawk with joy
the beautiful rays warm both heart and day
and no greater beauty doth exist to it

up into the thermal flies, the lovestuck bird
he would but try, to kiss her loving touch
she showers him with warmth, further
up he goes, to be with her he will try

she whispers love as he leaves the earth
he floats in space alone with her
the Sun and the Hawk, a love without end

i wrote this 3 years ago when i was in a love with someone, the good creative beneign love, that was returned a lot. anyway i wrote this to commemorate it and i eventually posted it on my website at the time
