In the last line did you mean "you have stopped making sense" or do you mean "stopping to make" in the sense of another way of saying "started to make"

I took it to mean that TR was saying that EX had not stopped making sense, but was in the process of stopping.

in the whole kierkegaard-ian 'fear and trembling' interpretation of existentialism, an EX individual can base his (or her) entire existence on the quest for love.
i agree with booyalab and zedo, EX is a nihilist. and this makes me think of the big lebowski...
