For the hell of it, I took a look at John Kerry's and Geroge Bush's re-election sites.

http://www.johnkerry.com/index.html
http://www.georgebush.com/

Notice how the biggest thing on the GWB page is the "John Kerry's Flip Flop Olympics" and right below are two icons, one regarding a "Gas Tax" and another about "Why Kerry is wrong for your state." and finally "The Raw Deal on Kerry"

Whereas on Kerry's page, the main subject is his latest defense of his Vietnam record, and a link to download the Kerry/Edwards plan. You have to scroll down to see anything directly mentioning Bush & Co., and looking through the issues never mentions them by name.

And Republicans say kerry is just "Anybod but Bush" canidate. The design of their websites tells a different story to me.

Boo.

See, John Kerry is being sneaky and underhanded, and trying to claim he is a war hero, while Bush is using good old American mud slinging tactics.

[Homer Simpson] mmmmm, mud wrestling (drool) [/Homer Simpson]

Sneaky? Just because his main article is defending his record from a group that only appeared within the last week to dispute something 30 years old?

Maybe it's because Kerry has a leg to stand on? oooh! A platform besides fear and slander? Only the democrats could conceive of such a thing!

I wouldn't judge a Party by it's presidential canidates. Both have their good and bad faces. I don't think Bush justly represents the Republican Party.

I think anyone who runs for office is a dunderhead. Anyone who gets into politics on purpose has all the wrong motivations for doing it.

Derision and satire are classic political/rhetorical devices. Which are you more likely to remember, "Flip-Flop Economics" or the details of a defense of John Kerry's war record?

(That said, I don't think there's been much study of the voting habits of those who visit campaign websites.)

So far, it seems Kerry's war record is as he states. There was a guy on some republican guy's show and the republican guy of the show even told the guy that he was being unfair against Kerry.

He represents the modern neo-liberal/former Dixiecrat Republican party just fine.

Blech...

Government only exists to perpetuate its existence at the top of society. The officials are there to benefit from the status. Sure some stuff gets done, but really, its only after society reaches a point where they must adapt to maintain their authority. At this point, its difficult to decide because we have a pretty good idea what bush will do, but how kerry will act is still questionable. I dont care much... Naturally both sides with deface the other, truthfully or not. They are very from the norm only slightly... Politics sucks.
