Qutub Minar This soaring tower of victory was built immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu Kingdom in Delhi. Qutb-ud-din Aibak laid its foundation in 1200 A.D. Iltutmish added three more storeys. After damaged by lightning in 1368 A.D. Firuz Shah Tughlaq rebuilt the fourth story, added the fifth and a harp shaped cupola. A doorway in each storey opens to its own balcony. As of now, upper storeys are closed for visitors, yet its a treat to watch this magnificent travelmasti monument. Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid, Iron Pillar and Alai Gateway are worth having a look.

The link in the OP's sig says "antioxidant", but you can't see it anymore 'cause he's banned for a spammer.

Yet in his brief time here he did impact my life by inciting me to inspect the Qutub Minar.

It is quite beautiful....worlds tallest freestanding brick Minaret.

So distinctly non Swiss!!

When Alien Archaeologists examine our culture, perhaps they will be perplexed by the story of the spammer who tried to sell me vitamins by using a story about this brick tower.

stopharian, the pictures you posted made this thread worthwhile and saved it from being trashed along with the other spammer threads.

Late spammer, I salute you!
