Google announced it was going to do email with a large mailbox size thing. Then Yahoo! raised the size of their email boxes. Then Hotmail said they were going to do the same by the end of July...but they still have not and are still being annoying with their 2MB limit and a "pay for bigger" ripoff.
If Hotmail does increase the size, that's good, but their irritating stupidity will be the same. Yahoo!'s email is not bad, but their methods of advertising (throughout the Yahoo! system) are just as irritating as MSN/Hotmail's.
Google is the most trustable in my opinion. I go to http://www.google.com and see a clean page without spam everywhere.
Another option is to use a not-so-well-known email provider, but I trust those less than Hotmail because if their servers crash and five years of my email is lost, they don't really have to answer to anybody. However, if Hotmail or another large email provider loses my email, people (and the respectability of their own reputation) will be on their ass to recover the data as fast as possible. This is just an example. I am saying that in general, they have much more to answer to.
I like Google's "cut the bullshit" attitude. 2MB email limit??? That's bullshit, Google says. I have seen some images of the Google email interface and I see the design principles they used were also "cut the bullshit."
I think Hotmail is going to wait right before Google makes its email system public to start doing the nice things it is promising. That's really annoying.
So, anyone can invite me? ^_^
