In PhpBB2, it could be done by looking into the MySQL database (you could read the message, but not easily find out the username of the person who sent it). Not sure about these kinds of forums, but I doubt PMs are encrypted so yeah, probably.

Yeah, the owner of the site would have no problem, but would the admins on here be able to? Being an admin doesn't usually allow for people to have unrestricted access to the database

I don't know. In every picture of an admin I've seen, they look pretty pasty.

And I knew mods couldn't.

It was more of a question of if than when.

I can see how many you have and I can delete all of them but I cannot read any of the PM's, nor see the titles or who they are to/from.

I didn't know the answer to this until now, I had to go and check. Never tried before.
