when I viewed them on my parents crappy computer they didn't look so good(lower res..). on this computer they appear much better(higher res and lower contrast), each one seems to have something that just 'pops out' .. although the rock one looked better on my parents computer.

The Mountain scenes are from a national park further inland.

I found the mask in a dam that was busy drying up.(the asme one where the mud pattern picture was taken).

I suspect it may be cursed with a voodoo spell - that explains why it was thrown into the dam. Why else would you throw a perfectly good mask into a dam, hopefully never to be seen again?

The previous owner must have thrown it in the damn in a desperate attempt to escape the curse. There can be no other explanation or what?

Those are good, but I especially like the cracked mud picture. I personally think it needs just a little refinement to be great. If I were you, I'd convert the picture to grayscale and bump up the contrast a little. That would be really cool looking.

After finding it and taking some pictures, I hid it in the nearby woods because I didn't have any way to carry it home( was on my mountain bike.)
I returned the next week and brought it home.

I think it will make a great picture, just have to keep trying and look for suitable backgrounds.

I still wonder why something like that was deliberately thrown into a dam.
So far I don't seem to have suffered any consequences.
