A Long Handled Garden Tool
"Hey, what kind of date did you have in mind?" Cripple said into her cell phone while fixing her hair in the convertible's rear-view mirror. She took a sip from a silver flask of whiskey, and cut across four lanes of traffic.
"Uh huh. Oh sure."
She listened.
"Right. I'll meet you there." She performed a u-turn without signaling and headed for the address.
A few minutes later, she pulled across two spaces in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn. She gathered the tools of her trade from the back of the car, and sauntered over to Room 6. She swallowed deeply from her flask and then knocked on the door, arranging her skirts to best show off some leg.
The door opened and Cripple saw a masked figure dressed head to toe in black.
A knife flashed up and down, and Cripple was dead before she could scream.
When the Townsfolk found the body, there was a single playing card lying next to it.
