I'm called Danny, live in Illinois, and, shockingly, am 15. It seems that everyone else is older than myself...hmm. I'm a bit of a grammatical nitpicker, so if you make careless errors, expect them to be corrected. I believe you can access my hobbies through my profile, if you're interested. If you're even more interested, why don't you ask me questions? I'm not sure what else to say...

I noticed you didn't have "white" although people say it's not a color and is merely a hue or something.. but.. yeah.. off-white is better though.. muted colors == cool.

what do you want to do with your life? any hobbies?

Welcome. Let me think of a question...alright, you must be just starting high school. How do you fit in with your classmates? Do you have trouble finding like minded people? What are some of the consequences of your intp characteristics in this context?

I like your avatar btw.

Sorry! I swear I put white in the poll. (Though some consider white the absence of color, which some people may prefer...)Oh well...
Actually, just starting high school tomorrow :-/. I used to go to a small private school, and didn't fit in well with my classmates. Even since preschool, I remember not really having close friends to speak of, perhaps a few acquaintences at best. Needless to say, finding like-minded people was, and has been, a difficulty. Thankfully I'm in honors courses, perhaps I'll find a few people to get along with. For about a year now I've been fascinated with Myers-Briggs. Perhaps through that I've been able to justify my "abnormal" personality? I don't feel I have to try to be someone different anymore, I can just be myself.

That should be 'with whom I'll get along'

And you misspelled 'acquaintances'

Actually, I just have. Worked ( at a profoundly silly job ) two 20-hour shifts at Stansted Airport in the last few days. Still not awake. I think this is all a dream.

Still, welcome. :hello:

(After clarifying with various sources...)
A sentence can be ended with a preposition. It is a matter of style, not grammar.
"Perhaps I'll find a few people with whom I'll get along" sounds awkward. Consider the following example: "From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put."

"Don't end a sentence with a preposition" is a Latin rule.

Claverhouse, I think your point would make more sense if I used the word "who." But then it could be "perhaps I'll find some people whom I'll get along with"

It only sounds awkward because people no longer speak correctly. Consider the following example: "From now on, ending a sentence with a preposition is a glaringly obvious grammatical error which I will not tolerate." I find it hard to believe a person so concerned with grammatical errors would use the terms "something" and "put up with", so that example is really just bollocks. No offense to Churchill, naturally . . . By the way, if you had not come on so wildly pretentious you wouldn't be defending yourself. Anyway, you'll prob be one of the smarter kids in your class and no one really gives a shit anyway . . .

Well, since color is the way your eyes interpret the frequency of light, it is light. White is unaltered light, whereas black is no light. So, black would be the absence of color, white would be the epitome of color.

Yes, you probably entered it into the last box without telling it to submit that poll answer. Common mistake.

[ Insincerely ]

That's nice.
:D

Still, I can't actually say I know the groundwork that well, my schooling was cheap and nasty, but one just instinctively knows when things are right or wrong through one's cultural upbringing. Plus it's nice when things are 'just so'. Mistakes, especially those made by oneself, sort of leap up and bite one. I should imagine that you would find the same thing in your own mother-tongue. ( I certainly couldn't say what is correct in any other language than English [ or some of it's variants like Scots { not to be confused with Gaelic } ] ).

Triple parenthesis. I love'em.

Please, no patrician uses such a term. We merely say, 'Those less fortunate than ourselves.'

Ahem, without going too far off topic, as an Extreme Royalist, I think it pertinent to point out that I despise the rest of mankind in the mass as well, including the smug greasy bourgeoisie, the business-people, the aristocracies, the liberals, the puritans, the anti-statist right, the conformists, etc. who none of them are likely to exist on food from Macdonalds and regard watching continuous TV sport as the 'Ideal Life' as your suggestion implies.

Speaking of thread-hijacking, did you know that Jung might claim that your sociopathy is a reflection of your ego's conflict with your unconscious...that you are travelling through a stage in the process of individuation?

Too bad we're limited to solid colors and not mixtures... you know, the colors that actually count ;p
fun to know favorite colors though, blue is righteously victorious! :D
