just saw it.. at the end he killed himself.. and there is one other movie that made me feel a similar as at the end of this particular movie and that was the movie Lenny... which also had a suicide ending..
anyway.. both times it reminds how I have always kind of wanted to kill myself..

-_-

I dont remember him killing him slef. I rember he went back to when he and the girl he liked first met as little kids, and he told her off. So they move and her, and her brothers lives were fixed. He woke up and he was in a dorm room with Lenny.

well then you obviously didn't see the end of the movie... I saw the uncut version if that mattered but hopefully not.

Well you saw the uncut verson, I saw the version that they played in the theatre. What happened? Why did he and Lenny kill themselves?

symbolic. destroy your memories, and destroy yourself.

he "was never meant to be" in a spooky voice

his existence was messin other people's lives

so hes like yeah ill go back to when i am about to be born and assassinate myself with an umbilical cord instead of a gun (he speaks this idea at the very beginning - something about going back to when it all started)

I think the alternate endings are only available on the DVD. And they were just ones the directors considered. The killing himself one was the ending they really thought best fit the movie (the "official" ending so to speak)

I actually liked the alternate ending where he went back and spooked the little girl. It seemed more plausible and when they saw each other on the streets of..... some big city, it opened for a sequel.

I'm going to add "Spoiler" to the thread title, as I saw the flick in the theater, and didn't know the alternate ending. :( :)

<edit> This is one of my favorite movies. When I saw it I thought about it for weeks and it inspired me to lelarn more about Chaos Theory. After you set aside who it is playing the main character, it turns out to be a thought provoking flick. I loved it. :) </edit>
