I felt if I phrased it differently, people would be less likely to wtfv. Now it seems I've just given everyone blue balls. Oh well.

Heh. At first I thought you meant "adult" as in SexyTime.Me too. But as soon as I saw The Onion link I knew it was a spoof anyway. I didn't sit through the ad before the video, so I still have no idea what this is about.

Is the "Read/Skim/Toss" thing real? Is that how book reviews actually look in Time magazine?
Tell me it's not. Please.

TIME has stepped it up a notch, since they recently acquired my secret boyfriend Fareed Zakaria

You seem to covet most things with a pulse.
And who wants to read well written and researched articles on contemporary events? Or analysis without certain conclusions? Not me.

I am perfectly familiar with The Onion, just not Time magazine (at least on paper). I'm pretty stunned that it wasn't a parody. Just found an example here: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1968116,00.html
I'd elaborate on that, but I have to go read that book now. Thanks, Time!

I already saw the video on the Onion. I can't say that I've ever read Time very much. I already read America's Finest News Source. I loved the video, and I liked how it made the point that Time dumbed things down for a relatively uneducated mass audience. I remember looking at Newsweek in high school and not finding much of interest in it. I think it was sort of like People but with world news instead of celebrity gossip. I think Time is similar to Newsweek.
