after much deilberation I'm planning on possibly returning to college at some point. due to the employment my mother has, I am able to go to a college tuition-free if it is listed at one of these sites:
http://www.cccu.org/about/ns_members.asp
http://www.cic.org/tep/participants.asp
I would probably be going for computer science.. do you know anything about these places? I was leaning toward going to a place that was in a city so I wouldn't need a car.

Colorado Christian University...I haven't heard much about it actually.
I think I have seen it somewhere, but I don't recall them talking about the CS program being "good" there.
Don't take it from me though, I don't know enough about that, I know Regis University is Jesuit and they have a very good CS program, expensive and private though, didn't check if it was on the list.
But in CO, you will most likely need a car...unless you go to a University in Denver/Boulder.

I'd go to one of the ones on the second list if you ask me. The first list ones have a reputation of being closed-minded Christian places that I don't think would be good for an INTP, unless you are really strongly Christian yourself.

I'm not even close to being a christian.. but if I can go somewhere without tuitition, I am willing to rough it.
That's a pretty extensive list. Too many to narrow down just a few.
Since that's the case I might decide on the location first, then see what school(s) is (are) close to that municipality - then research the school(s).

yeah, I've decided to go down the list and visit each one to see what courses they offer.
but.. I'm not totally sure what says a school really has a good computer science area.. so.. mm and the printout I did of the one site is 25 pages long (ouch).

That whole religious thing kind of frightens me. Your classmates would probably be constantly trying to "show you the light". Ugh. Are all the places on the second list religious schools too? I did a quick search on the ones in Minneapolis and they all seemed to be.
I've got no clue about any of them of course. I would suggest to pick likely candidates based on geography and then try and evaluate a short list based on the quality of their comp. sci. program (variety of course offerings and the like).

Many of the ones on the second list are Roman Catholic schools or more low-key but Christian affiliated schools. They would be okay to be at. The ones on the first list are where the Bible thumpers go.

I decided to change my methodology.. by searching each site with google using:
site:domain.edu unix
so far there have been two 'winners' .. and before I run a search I decide whether the location is good enough. I'm not sure if this is the best way to figure anything out but it hopefully displays whether the teachers are going the extra step.
