I just ran across this and haven't had the chance to look into it yet, but I'm already curious to see what our scores are like.

Man, you guys stink at clustering. Conform dammit!

So far it looks like I win the front seat on the temporal short bus. I don't know what that means except I probably don't wear a watch. (Hey, I'm right!)

Here's the thingie I found, the posting of which will likely derail the whole thread: http://videolectures.net/youtube_zimbardo_tpnpttwcyl/

Mine is easily explainable by PTSD from crappy childhood.

Hmm, everyone scoring pretty high (highest) on past-negative. The video links that with clinial depression.

I would think that NTs would all score high on Future? INTJ especially

My score could be a lot higher there, I think, but I've been getting over it.

Lots of hedonists too. I'm surprised I didn't score higher on hedonism, but then, they didn't ask enough pointed questions about staring into space.

I also see some correlation between present-fatalistic & future transcendental. I surmise people who feel powerless in their control over their life (present-fatalistic) must seek solace in the idea of an afterlife (future transcendental).

Also the video glorifies future-orientated people a lot, but fails to mention that they make the most dullest companionship. ie BORING AS FUCK

Too many G & Ts... You have to go back to the original page and then go to another survey (which is shorter).

It's a toss up between the G & T's or my superpower of unobservancy.

I suspect my score would have been a little lower sans G & T. Is your score the lowest possible?

Also, as far as I can tell, it's a religiousity score not a temporal one. (or is that obvious? /still drunk)

I think it's supposed to measure your propensity to plan for the afterlife.

Belief in afterlife = belief in religion of some sort. IMO (yes, there are probably exceptions but the correlation would be high)

Whatever the test says, I know that I'm heavily future oriented, but get constantly tripped up by present-hedonism.

My scores are all clustered around middle. I had a lot of neutral response and didn't really answer affirmatively for that many negative-past items .. so the results seem kind of silly to me.

I would have scored much more high in Fatalistic if I had taken this ten years ago.
I think being forced to work through tough issues and realizing you have some degree of control to change your fate is a big boost to positive thinking and self-empowerment.
